X-Ray Quality Control for Wide Products
The WIDESMART X-ray inspection system is designed for food packages that are significantly wider than standard consumer packaged food products. The system provides bakers and other food production manufacturers an automated X-ray inspection at the best value in the industry.
The bakery industry has been one of the main focus areas when designing the system, since there are applications where the food products are extremely wide, such as pillow packs. What makes WIDESMART a unique inspection solution, is the combination of two parallel and partly overlapping X-ray images from two separate X-ray generator and detector pairs. This enables to have the distance between the parts to a minimum, which eliminates the need for high-power generator, reduces the system size, energy consumption, and improves the image quality and foreign object detection performance.
